A great opportunity to join an market leading business who supply innovative and sustainable packing solutions to a variety of businesses. They are currently recruiting for a National Account Manager - Packaging to manage the whole of Europe.

My client is a global market leading business who supply innovative, sustainable packaging solutions for beverage, personal care and household product customers. They have over £18,000 employees and turnover over £10billion. This role would be based out of there Bedfordshire office.



Description

National Account Manager - Packaging
  • Work closely with regional Marketing & Business Development teams to identify, enable, & capture opportunities for innovations in the region
  • Communicate with the broader Global Innovation team to bridge regional needs with project pipeline initiatives
  • Technical sales - support sales team by attending sales calls and providing technical presentations and competitive differentiation to support sales opportunities.
  • Facilitate technical meetings with customers and partner engineering resources - assist in identifying & documenting customer challenge statements along with communication of potential solutions back to customers
  • Lead or coordinate the design technology solutions to meet customer requirements, coordinate the input of engineers to complete the final solution/solution summary to review with customer
  • Business case development - document the proposed solution and present the solution to customers
  • Maintain relationship with customer technology decision makers while being responsive to customers, teammates, business partners and leadership team
  • Provide internal & external expertise into customer filling location requirements needed to enable innovation penetration - technical requirements, lead times, costs, etc
  • Regional conduit for adoption & accountability of stage gate & project management best practices
  • Enable development of local SME support structure for innovative products & technologies with proactive training & communications with the local engineering, CTS, & sales teams
  • Learn how to sell, configure and implement products as required by customer or as directed by sales/BD or senior leadership






Profile

National Account Manager - Packaging
  • 5 Years minimum sales experience preferably packaging or FMCG background
  • Strong technical skills generally associated with a college level degree (engineering or similar)
  • Fundamental Business Acumen skills - MBA a plus
  • Demonstrated history of learning new technologies and adapting them to resolve/solve complex problems
  • Ability to multitask & think / troubleshoot in a nonlinear manner
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed engineering and business teams
  • Ability to articulate and promote project management best-practices
  • Ability to overcome roadblocks by enabling others with clear communication, troubleshooting, and at times simply propping others up where needed
  • Fundamental understanding of statistical principles
  • Proficient with project/program management tools such as MS Project
  • Highly motivated with high level of initiative and willingness to research, discover and recommend
