Export Sales Director

The Role

• We are handling a rare and exceptional opportunity for a senior international sales professional with consumer goods / FMCG experience. This is an exceptional role working for an established, respected and internationally focused British manufacturer.
• The Export Sales Director will manage a team of international sales managers and an already healthy international turnover of £15m+.
• The Export Sales Director will have full P&L responsibility for sales in Europe including all distributor markets and the subsidiary offices in the larger countries. Products are sold into European retailers both directly and via distributors.
• This is NOT a home-based position. Suitable candidates will live within a commutable distance of Manchester and be willing to travel regularly within Europe.

The Company

• A British manufacturer that is part of a £1bn+ international group, this successful, profitable and stable business produces recognised branded consumer goods which are sold into the retail channel.

The Package

• The business will design a package to attract the right candidate. It is anticipated that the basic salary will be around £60,000 - £75,000 (flexible to suit the selected candidate) plus a package that will include bonus, car allowance, private health insurance and pension.

The Person

• A background in international sales is essential here, as is experience of working with consumer package goods in FMCG or consumer durables.
• Given the man-management element to the role, the business requires previous man experience of managing sales people.
• Fluency in both French and English is considered a pre requisite for this position and proficiency in German is considered advantageous.
