My client manufactures and markets a wide range of products across power tools, outdoor power equipment, accessories, hand tools, layout and measuring tools, floorcare and appliances. They have had considerable YOY growth over the last few years. Boasting an array of household name brands across the DIY industry, they pride themselves on the quality of their products.

Due to a re structure, the business would like to recruit a Marketing Manager to their team. As Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the Marketing budget and be expected to work closely with retailers. The UK consumer Marketing team is responsible for the profitability, management & execution of all consumer products. The department is a very busy function that supplies the sales teams, FMEs and retailers with the products, campaigns and support they need to deliver the financial growth targets. This role will have 3 direct reports.

Main Responsibilities:

-       To understand the profitability of all the products within each category, ensuring that this is at the forefront of mind, aligning product ranges and promotions to the key business measures. 

-       To manage all product lifecycles with accuracy; ensuring products are launched/discontinued timely and inline with operational, profit and channel management KPIs. 

-       Management of a rolling 12-month cross-channel commercial promotional plan. 

-       To support the cross functional teams; sales, finance, service, customer services and supply chain to effectively manage product life cycle. 

-       To present new products to the sales teams and key/national accounts and equipping them with product knowledge and sales packages to ensure successful launch. 

-       To manage the effective communication flow of information between all sales teams, field marketing team and EMEA Brand/Product teams. 

-       Creation, management and implementation of ATL and BTL promotional campaign activity, including agency management, internal sign-off, proofing and delivery.

-       To provide UK specific input to the European brand and product development planning processes. 

-       To manage Market intelligence and reporting out to the wider group. 

-       To manage and work within the Marketing budget to ensure successful marcoms across the account base. 

-       To ensure that any UK specific exhibition is effectively planned, to agreed budgets and the management of said stands to ensure maximum impact, energy and effectiveness.

-       To manage, support and develop the Marketing team, and to develop policies and processes to ensure the smooth running of the department.

-       To manage and support all external agencies, including: Media, Print, Shop Fit, Digital and Creative

-       To undertake key projects or other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Line Manager from time to time.

DIY/Garden product experience/knowledge would be an advantage but not essential. Consumer goods product experience essential
