Senior National Account Manager (London) – up to £65,000 + bonus + benefits

Our client is an extremely ambitious, young, snack manufacturing company on a mission to make a difference.  Established a little under 10 years ago they are now one of the fastest growing and most recognisable snack manufacturing brands in the UK distributing globally.  Based out of their head office in Central London they are seeking a Senior National Account Manager to be responsible for managing one of the major multiples.

The role

  • To devise & deliver exceptional business plans with key supermarket customers, ensuring sales of products are maximised at key trading periods
  • Manage P&L and forecasting of assigned accounts and deliver value, volume and GP% metrics
  • Extend our depth & breadth of product ranges in customers across all the main estate formats such as convenience, dotcom, forecourts, café & front of store
  • To build unrivalled cross functional relationships with key customer contacts across buying, supply chain, category & format teams
  • Utilise customer systems to maximise sales including influencing availability, compliance, promotion management
  • Work with field sales team to deliver strong local activation
  • Deliver top class visibility and penetration through bringing their brand and products alive in stores (POS, secondary displays, samplings)
  • Work with the Category Manager to deliver killer insights that drive significant business benefit
  • Manage and develop one of our National Account Managers

Qualifications

  • A great track record of driving sales and profitability from managing a top four grocery account
  • Results driven - you can show examples of strong, tangible business results that you have led personally
  • Resilience and tenacity - obstacles don’t hold you back and you work effectively when faced with a tough buyer or tricky negotiation
  • Full P/L responsibility experience
  • Analytical - you are all over the data and can bring new and relevant insights on your accounts
  • Great relationship builder - you are personable and have a collaborative attitude to working with the buyer, getting the result we need for the business but in a responsible and natural manner
  • Leadership - the more junior members of the sales team are able to look to you for guidance or knowledge and you bring a positive energy to the team
  • Man management responsibility ideal
