As a leading player in their industry, this dynamic organisation is seeking to recruit a high calibre Buyer to manage the purchasing and procurement process for Generic and Parallel Import products.

Your new role
Key responsibilities will include ensuring the product is purchased effectively to achieve financial targets and managing the range in to the business through the supply chain. Key to this will be the ability to effectively source new suppliers as well as maintain and nurture relationships with existing suppliers. You will ensure the business successfully implements the Generic and Parallel Imports procurement strategy to ensure that they achieve sales targets and KPI's for the category.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will be a a shrewd negotiator, with a style that is able to adapt to suppliers of varying sizes. You will have strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to manage complex data and use sound reasoning to solve problems as well as using in depth knowledge of the market to maximise sales and profits. With the ability to influence at all levels and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you will also possess strong retail market and product knowledge, ideally in healthcare including generic medicine, parallel imports or OTC Pharmaceuticals, but other FMCG / Grocery categories will be considered.
