  • The Area Sales Manager (ASM) plays a critical role ensuring the successful implementation and execution of sales plans and programmes in the vape and independent channel. The ASM manages, develops and leads a team of Business Development Manager’s in key regions of the UK 

  • Specific responsibilities include: recruit, train, motivate and development BDM’s, sell in and implementation of account plans, product listings, management and implementation of trade incentives, training programmes and in-store brand ambassadors 

  • Performance in this a role will be measured primarily by development of BDM’s, pipeline management, quality execution at store level, achievement of product listings and distribution, volume, sales growth and share of mind/voice of retail partners. 

  • This role is ideal for someone currently working as an Area Sales Manager in the drinks, cosmetics or other FMCG category looking for their next challenge 

  • This role reports to the Head of Sales Manager


  • To manage the effective deployment, resourcing and implementation of merchandising agreements, trade incentive schemes, training programmes and in- store brand ambassador programmes 

  • To manage, motivate and lead the area sales team. Ensure team is effectively trained, resourced and motivated to grow JUUL’s business in the area of responsibility 



  • Experience and knowledge of the FMCG retail environment To identify and win new business, develop joint business plans and effectively deploy resources to drive sales and ROI for the area
  • To develop and maintain long term mutually beneficial relationships with all relevant contacts within the area 

  • To negotiate, manage and evaluate annual listing agreements and new product launches with key area accounts to achieve the overall business plans 

  • To deliver agreed sales targets for the area within budget 

  • To implement trade terms and price increases for the area 

  • To ensure area customer payments on a timely basis 

  • To update and maintain customer account plans and sales reporting for the area 

  • Experience and ability to manage and motivate a team of people
o Persuasive and adaptable presenter - ability to positively influence different audiences

Key Attributes Necessary for Success

  • Strong resilience and desire to drive continuous improvements and operate in a changing environment

  • Ability to problem-solving and think on your feet

  • A full UK driving license is required for this role


  • At least 2 years experience managing a field sales team
  • Experience working in the vape channel or independent Channel a plus


  • Experience in the FMCG sector and working with large chain retailers in the UK
