Due to an internal promotion our client is looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager in to their team to cover the East Midlands & East Anglia region.

Established for over 40 years, our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of workwear, tools and equipment. They have a range of strong brands and supply to a varied portfolio of independent and national accounts.
Description
As the Area Sales Manager, reporting in to the Regional Sales Manager, you will become an integral part of the team and be responsible for your own area covering the East Midlands and East Anglia. You will inherit an account base of around 500 clients; ranging from electrical wholesalers to builder's merchants and tool specialists.
Your main focus will be on the top 100 accounts in a role that is split between 70% account management and 30% new business.
The Area Sales Manager is an autonomous role with the ability to manage your own diary, and negotiate on pricing, although you will also receive fantastic support with a well-structured induction process, monthly one to ones and quarterly team meetings.
The company offer brilliant progression opportunities which could either be within the key account management channel or the people management route.
Profile
Key skills and experience required:
- Experience within the workwear, tools or equipment/electrical industry is desirable
- Experience of selling to builders merchants, tool specialists or electrical wholesalers would be highly beneficial
- Ability to travel with the occasional night away (around 3 nights a month)
- Consultative and solution led selling style
- A passionate, enthusiastic and self driven approach
- Ability to work independently day to day
- You must be based on patch within the East Midlands or East Anglia (ideally around the Northamptonshire area)
- Full, clean UK driving license
Job Offer
- Basic salary of £30,000 to £33,000 - dependent on experience
- Company car or car allowance option
