Senior Account Manager (Sales)

Westbridge is one of the largest and market leading upholstery manufacturers in the UK. Serving the majority of the Blue Chip high street and premium independent retailers from three UK production sites in North Wales.

The Job

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented Senior Account Manager to join our sales team at our Deeside site in North Wales. We are looking for a proven individual to be responsible for account managing strategically important large customers. Reporting into the Sales Director (Groups).

This is a key senior management role within the business, driven by the growing level of turnover from both established customers and new accounts with our expanding customer portfolio.

The Role

  • Assigned to 3-4 named customers the Senior Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships, driving sales and achieving sales budgets and assigned account objectives.
  • Is to represent the company’s range of products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account and ensuring our customers’ needs and expectations are met by the business.
  • To lead and support the established sales team based at our Deeside site.
  • Meeting customers regularly off site, visiting major furniture shows and retail monitoring.

The Person

This role would suit an established highly self-motivated, confident account manager, with at least 3 years’ experience. The successful candidate will be able to present, communicate and influence at all levels and confidently represent the company to key customers.

The Ideal Candidate;

  • Will be able to manage, grow and build solid relationships with key customers in line with delivering budgets, sales and margins.
  • Will be experienced in costing and confident in presenting concepts, and proposals to customers in response to briefs and potential opportunities.
  • Have in-depth Furniture market and product knowledge, and have experience of working with customers such as Laura Ashley, Next, and Argos.
  • Have experience in account managing from concept to product launch in short time scales.
  • Will be driven and able to build relationships and connect with a variety of personalities.
  • Will have proven managerial and team management skills.
