The company

A fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing, US FMCG branded confectionery business and to be involved at the very outset of their exciting journey in the UK. The US company is embarking on a bold new investment and NPD strategy to launch and grow its presence across all UK trade channels. This dynamic, branded confectionery company has a strong track record of product innovation and best-in-class execution and is led by a group of highly experienced, successful brand builders.

The role

The company is now seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to take on responsibility for growing the brand’s presence across Retail Convenience and Cash & Carry Accounts. This is an exciting and challenging role that requires strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of taking the lead in developing targeted new convenience retail and wholesale accounts, opening new business and driving product listings and distribution.

About You

Currently working at Regional Account Manager, Business Development Manager or National Account Manager level with a respected FMCG branded business, you have experience of directly managing and negotiating at head office level within any of the major retail convenience or wholesale channel national accounts. Confectionery experience would be an added advantage.

This is a ‘hands on’ role requiring commitment, drive and energy with a personal style which enables you to work as a key member of a small, agile, fast-paced team. You have a track record of building revenue streams and strong customer relationships. You are now looking for a new challenge where your results will be both recognised and rewarded. Most importantly you are industrious, honest and possess the ability to influence major customers and win new business.
