Role Summary:

The UK Off Trade encompasses grocery multiples, symbol groups and the convenience sector. The Off Trade is a data rich environment which enables a sophisticated analytical approach to managing customers. The key dynamics will be ownership of the convenience sector and ability to create and own the strategy and working with the Off-Trade Controller on Top 5 grocery range reviews.

Key Accountabilities:

  • - Promotional programme implementation aligned to demand planning and forecasts to achieve annual targets.
  • - Monitor and review business plans with customers and channel controller activating contingency plans when needed.
  • - Plan, develop, agree and implement annual joint business plans with key partners
  • - Data analysis maximising commercial value of insight data
  • - Ownership and management of P&L

Negotiation

  • - Cost prices changes across customer base
  • - Agree listing and range extension for product portfolio
  • - Promotional and activation plans

Forecasting / Supply Chain 

  • - Ownership of the forecast internally and with customer partners
  • - Management of cost- effective supply chain delivering operational efficiencies

Meetings

  • - Marketing and Demand planning
  • - Customer reviews and JBP meetings
  • - Sales Leadership meeting

Finance Responsibilities

  • - Manage accrual process
  • - Manage Gross to Net controls to optimise profitability
  • - Manage monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and provide rationale to Channel Controller
  • - Provide weekly estimates on sales volumes to Channel Controller
  • - Review promotional programme on-going to ensure return on investment maximised
  • - Work with sales support to minimise receivables to achieve target debtor days for customer base

Experience / Skills / Behaviours    

  • - P&L management
  • - Ability to flex style and prioritise tasks
  • - Excel, numeracy and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • - Communication skills, impactful presentations and ability to negotiate and influence
  • - Account management experience and a passion for drinks.
  • - Strong sense of accountability and ability to work with autonomy

Qualifications:

  • - Previous Off Trade account management experience as either NAM / NAE
  • - Graduate calibre
  • - Convenience experience preferred
