Role Overview:

The individual in this role is at the heart of understanding our portfolio business performance across EMEA, bringing together our multiple data sources; sales in to manufacturers, sales out from manufacturers to retailers and retailer scanning sales to shoppers, to build a complete understanding of our growth opportunities and risks.

The individual in role will also be responsible for the commercial aspects and inputs of the S&OP process, ensuring that the business unit sales teams are delivering their commercial forecasts in full and on time on a monthly cycle, and then liaising with the Operations team to build a robust forecast, with all known risks and opportunities identified.

This is a high profile role as it will be responsible for reporting analysis, leading the quarterly Business Units review process, leading the inputs to the Board Reporting decks for the US Board meetings.

This role will initially have 2 direct reports

The role will report in to the VP Category Development & Business Reporting EMEA and will be part of the EMEA Sales and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the whole EMEA business has best in class periodic reporting, bringing together multiple data sources to gain the most accurate understanding of our performance
  • Identifies key areas of risk or opportunity based on performance to date, and works with the relevant sales teams to mitigate risk.
  • Commercial forecasting lead in the S&OP process
  • Leads the build of the quarterly board reporting deck and investor call transcript
  • Identifies the key commercial opportunities and risks to enable us to drive ongoing portfolio growth
  • Ownership of our commercial priorities and their ongoing development (BUFC)
    • Ensure commercial priorities are the correct ones for the year / develop following year priorities for ABP
    • Measure the impacts of the commercial priorities and develop ongoing
    • Track, rank and publish performance and benchmark best practise and causal effects
    • Shape future commercial strategy based on the insight and understanding developed
  • NPD / Innovation Strategy / Launches – Ownership of the commercial analysis and development
    • Key part of the project teams ensuring financial integrity and key commercial KPIs to hit
    • Drive the tangible commercialisation of Innovation planning
    • Understanding of previous NPD success / failure and what the key factors are.
    • Shape future commercial strategy based on the insight and understanding developed
  • Business mapping;
    • Creating volume and financial model with clear definition and role for each market (& brand within it)
    • Long range planning – volume and revenue
    • Develop and oversee tracking of 5  year revenue performance based LRp for EMEA and each sales division
  • In year accelerated Revenue Growth
    • Generating value through analysis and understanding of markets and their performance
    • Markets underperforming – identify, analyse, recovery plan. Be part of resource to help implement recovery plans if required
    • Markets over performing - identify, analyse, maximise returns/growth, share best practise
