Area Sales Manager – Garden
Field Based – Birmingham

An exciting opportunity to work with a brand-new client of mine has recently become available. My client is looking for a dynamic and passionate Area Sales Manager to join their exciting and ever-expanding business in the Garden industry. The right candidate will be based in the Birmingham area and will have previous experience managing the independent garden centre channel across the Midlands territory.
My client is a top 5 manufacturer and supplier of highly premium Garden Products that has been established for over 20 years and has seen fantastic growth year on year. With a vast and highly premium product range that has grown in popularity, and a vision and plan to expand further into Europe, the business has gone from strength to strength and are looking to further grow moving into 2019.
The role will be focused on the Midlands territory, which is classed as the heart of the country. The channel focus for this role will be on the independent garden centre channel and you will be responsible for the full portfolio of products. There will be an element of both management of the existing account base as well as prospecting for new business and visiting dormant or former trading accounts.
This role calls for a dedicated and hard-working sales professional that is willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to exceed in this position. Attendance at relevant trade shows is a must, along with the requirement to stay away every now and then in order to effectively manage the territory.
