Head of Sales and Marketing

The Company

Lyme Bay Winery is a Devon-based, drinks producer known for crafting wines, ciders, spirits and liqueurs of the highest quality serving both the consumer and gift markets. The business forms part of a privately owned diversified and cash generative group of companies and this appointment comes at a pivotal time in the future development of the business to support the ambitious growth plans in place.

The Vision

Our vision is to produce market-leading premium craft drinks that deliver quality at every level. Key drivers in this include provenance and quality of the ingredients used in the liquid itself; the highest quality production processes; and eye-catching packaging designs supported by a robust brand architecture and marketing communications programme. We want to continue to deliver industry-leading service to our customers, through both independent and multiple distribution, servicing both the off and on-trade.

Ultimately, we aim to become one of the leading innovative and quality-driven producers of English wines, spirits, meads and ciders under multiple brands in the UK.

The Role

Due to these exciting growth ambitions, we are looking to recruit an equally ambitious, proven, hands-on Head of Sales and Marketing to help shape and deliver our commercial strategy.

The Person

  • You will be located in the Midlands and mobile, have established relationships with influencers at national and regional distributors, be computer literate and have excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • You will be comfortable defining the structure of your team, as well as leading, directing and motivating an enthusiastic internal and external sales team.
  • You will have experience in the development and delivery of a marketing and communications plan
  • You should be passionate about continual improvement, and have a knowledge and passion for wines, spirits, and ciders, and be able to communicate key product information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The Package

A competitive benefits package and the opportunity for personal growth and development in line with the future performance of the business is on offer.
