Savant Health are leading exporters of exclusive nutritional supplements including UDO’s Choice, Manuka Health Honey and Cleanmarine.  Savant have transformed over the past 20 years from a homegrown business supplying mainly to independent health food retailers into a significant player in the nutritional (VMS) market, supplying to multiple/high street accounts.

Due to having a strong pipeline of new business opportunities a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a strong sales professional with a track record of opening up new customers, gaining listings and driving successful distribution to join this expanding business. We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate the ability to identify, hunt and convert new business, so networking, building strong relationships and preparing strong commercial proposals are key to being successful in this role. An interest in health and nutrition is desirable but not essential.

The Opportunity:                                                                                                                                                 

Joining a small but very focused and successful team, you will enjoy the autonomy and responsibility to develop and grow new business in existing and new channels.  Your role as  Business Development Manager will be to develop business across large independent, key accounts and multiple (high street) retailers nationally. This is an ideal role for someone who has account management experience but it looking to step into a role as National Account Manager.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Highly mobile and autonomous role reporting into Head of Sales
  • Achieve sustainable new business in line with company strategy and targets
  • Develop multi-level relationships with the account
  • Build and develop multi-channel new business pipeline
  • Assist sales team with developing new business strategies and tactics
  • Prepare and propose sustainable commercial propostions
  • Secure trading and distribution/promotion agreements (annual JPB’s)

 

 

The Person:

  • An individual with drive and passion and who thrives off delivering results
  • Field Sales experience within a structured FMCG environment
  • Proven track record in managing a new business pipeline and winning new business  
  • Experience in the health, nutrition industry desirable
  • Ideally with a bachelors degree
  • Ideally with account management experience gained in FMCG sales, we want someone who has the hunger and desire to take our business to the next level.
  • Numerate with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A highly organised strategic thinker, you possess the confidence to effectively deliver account plan.
  • The ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally will be a key part to your success, so you must be able to demonstrate a range of influencing styles and techniques.
