The Company

My client, one of the UK's largest suppliers of Toy's, has found the need for a new National Account Manager to join its well established team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has an entrepreneurial attitude to assist in producing world class product ranges and contribute to the strategic direction/ development of the business.

They have been a key player in the Toys industry for more than 100 years, positioning themselves at the premium end of the market, with global coverage. They are renowned for their high quality design and they pride themselves on their customer service. They are a design led company, offering a diverse collection of products which are unique and different. Their team of designers continually develop new collections in line with market trends and customer design briefs.

The role

With the business having recently gone through a restructure, there is now the need to bring in a new National Account Manager looking after a number of different accounts, but they are ideally looking for someone who has experience managing Amazon. This is a home-based role with occasional travel to the head office in London, once or twice a week.

Key Responsibilities in this role will include:
  • Creating your strategic channel growth plan
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing joint business plans. This will include terms and account investment plans, distribution gains, promotional plans and new product opportunities.
  • Create and develop superior customer relationships.
  • Negotiate trading terms.
  • Generate long term sustainable business relationships
  • Build strong internal relationships and work cross functionally within the business.
  • Sales Forecasting


The role will report directly into the Sales Director for the UK, you will have full profit and loss responsibility for your accounts as well as forecasting and target setting. This will provide you with the full autonomy and freedom to grow and develop the channel based on your strategic plan.

The Candidate

My client is looking for a dynamic, driven and passionate candidate who is entrepreneurial, and has a 'can do' attitude to business. Ideally, you will be an accomplished National Account Manager who has come from Toys or Gifting product background however they will look at people from other Consumer related product categories.
