Better Placed are pleased to be working with a category leading FMCG business in London who are looking for an established Senior National Account Manager to join their successful sales team. Do you have a strong background managing On-Trade accounts and experience working for a large FMCG business? They have recently agreed to invest heavily in NPD, so with plenty of new ideas coming in, it is an exciting time to join. Continuing their steady growth, this business is now looking for a Senior National Account Manager with a route to Controller level.

The Role

My client is looking for a Senior National Account Manager to join their leading FMCG company. You will be tasked with driving the growth of a variety of products within On-Trade, carrying out the following key responsibilities:
  • Developing strong relationships with new and existing customers at all levels
  • Identifying and making the most of new opportunities to expand the business and create growth in new areas
  • Proactively building relationships internally and externally to drive growth
  • Working closely with other departments such as NPD and marketing to maximise opportunities to develop products
  • Liaising with buyers to initiate listings
  • Managing 4 direct reports

The Person
  • The candidate must have proven experience within FMCG sales, ideally as a Senior National Account Manager
  • Someone who has demonstrated success in building new relationships with customers, as well as developing existing relationships to create growth
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starting, analytical, with an ability to build strong relationships and network within the retailer to unlock better relationships across the business
  • A strong influencer, with previous experience developing and implementing JBPs
  • Previous P&L management
  • Previous people-management experience
  • Ideally degree educated
  • Energetic and with strong interpersonal skills
