Our client is a growing, branded & Private Label FMCG business with category leading products that are driving the growth in their category. The business has an impressive growth strategy in place and a new Senior Category Manager role has been created to support the delivery of the growth agenda.

Reporting to the Head of Category the Category Manager will work as part of a cross functional team on the Grocery channel, championing the use of insight to underpin key strategic decisions and creating compelling category stories. In this role you will be tasked with developing relationships with major mults, acting as a category advisor to develop and deliver the annual category strategy. You will utilise continuous data sets to create actionable recommendations, leading and facilitating category projects.

The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre with at least three years category management / commercial experience within an FMCG environment setting. Experience within food manufacturing will be advantageous. You will have a good understanding of category management principles, demonstrating your ability to develop and execute category strategy. You will possess strong analytical skills with a good working knowledge of IRI, Nielsen and Kantar data. A full UK or EU driving license is essential along with the ability to travel regularly in the UK and Ireland.
