Category Manager

We are looking for a Category Manager to join our Category & Innovation team.

We have 4 manufacturing sites all near to Chichester in Beautiful West Sussex. Our offices are bright, modern and open plan which maximises cross functional working and team camaraderie.

You'll need to be experienced in Category from a commercial business. Food industry experience would be desirable although not essential as we can train you to become an expert in our products.

A day in the life of a Category Manager:

You will have the opportunity to work with all our clients. On the Retail side you will be working with high-profile major Retailers and with Foodservice you will be working with some big named brands and restaurant chains.

We make delicious salad meals, coleslaw, potato salad, bagged salads and leafy salad bowls. Our products are stocked by leading Retail supermarkets & restaurant chains and consumed by millions of customers in the UK, so you may well have eaten something made by us!

As a core member of the Category team you will work closely with our Head of Category & Insight, other Category Managers and Category Executives. You will be able to use your expertise, commercial and business acumen to create a real difference within the team and to our customers by providing high quality data and insight.

The role is customer facing so experience of presenting your data with accuracy and confidence is key to the successful business relationships we keep.

You'll have access to all the tools you need when it comes to consumer insights using sources like Dunnhumby, IRI and Kantar.

Coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team so they can grow and develop is also important, so you will need excellent people skills and be a team player willing to impart your wisdom.

You will also work cross-functionally with different areas of the business including collaborations with the NPD and Sales teams.
