Who are we looking for?

Shipping / Logistics Controller - Beauty

About the Company -

Global supplier of some of the high streets most leading beauty brands.

Key Skills -

Ability to take ownership of all outbound shipments covering Road, Sea and Air.

Process the movement of goods including negotiation of costs, dates and delivery.

Coordinating information onto system to enable shipments to be tracked and reported on

Raising all required documentation for Global shipments and ensure all paperwork raised is fully HMRC/ DG and customer compliant.

Report back to relevant parties if shipments are going to arrive later than planed

What will you be doing?
  • Work with Freight forwarders to deliver stock on time to customers / 3pl and subcontractors
  • Carry out regular reviews of 3PL PSLs providing feedback on performance and delivery
  • Creation of container plans of shipment size in line with requirements for FOB shipments and outgoing supply
  • Ensure all paperwork generated fall in line with Customer and HMRC requirements
  • Ensure that goods clear through customs and that correct level of duty and VAT is paid
  • Obtain accurate quotes for all shipments and advise to relevant parties
  • Work with Supplier/ 3pl and global offices to ensure goods ready , CIQ and consignment details are completed on time for notification of collection from Freight Forwarder
  • Work with Supplier / Customer systems to book incoming freight
  • Maintain internal system so delivery can be tracked, and reports raised
  • Obtain quotes and director sign off for all Air shipments
  • Keep tariff database up to date for all products and when changes in legislation occur
  • Customs entry checking
  • Keep paperwork in a logical manager as required for customs audits
  • Track all Export deliveries to ensure goods arrive on time and ensure all POD's are collated within a 48hour period from delivery
  • Advise budget figures for shipping
