This role is a National Account Manager role that sits within the retail division and you will be tasked with dealing with the companies major retail accounts within the Home Entertainment division. Dealing with the companies most important retail accounts such as John Lewis Partners and Argos, you will be tasked with formulating and agreeing all product and promotional business plans for each of your customers. Alongside that, it would be vital for you to develop effective customer contacts with all relevant functions – this includes all commercial, buying, supply chain, store support and operations contacts as it will help your business overall. It will also be your duty to provide accurate forecasting, sales in and sales out information, as well as keep up to date with all budgeting and all cost management.
Aside from all account responsibilities, you will also have corporate responsibilities within the business such as pricing, budgets and promotions for products as it is down to you to make sure that these are done to a high standard. Due to the collaborative nature of the company, you should keep a good relationship with all internal departments and actively meet all the deadlines that need to be met. Lastly, it is very important to be knowledgeable about the current market and be up to date all competitor activity that will be in-line with the business.
What you need to possess?
You will need to be knowledgeable and experienced in the consumer electronics world as it is the entirety of this role. Account retail experience is preferable due to the nature of this role and it is good to have great organisational skills due to the numerous tasks you may be taking on simultaneously. Coinciding with this, due to the face paced nature of this role, it is key that you are a highly focused person as well as someone who is a self-starter as the accounts will be your sole responsibility despite working alongside the National Account General Manager.
To conclude, in order to be deemed credible, it is key to have a proven track record of success within this type of position as well as being able to solve business and customer related problems within this environment.
