Business Development Manager – Textiles

An exciting opportunity to work with a brilliant new client of mine has recently become available. My client is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their well-established forward-thinking business. The ideal candidate for this role will be situated in the centre of England, ideally in the Birmingham area, as this will give good access to the rest of the area being covered.

Having been established in the industry over 60 years ago, my client is one of the most well-known companies within the Textiles industry and to this day, remains one of the market leaders for bed, bath and window textiles. They design and source all of their own products and work closely with their global partners to bring the best quality products to market.

This role will be predominantly focused around bringing on new business across the bed, bath and window categories within the business on a territory covering England and Wales. You will have a small region, centrally located where you will develop sales in existing accounts but this will be a small percentage of your overall responsibility. Your new business remit will focus from small independent retailers through to national retailers and you will need to be able to manage the relationships across all sizes of businesses.

The territory you will be managing in this role will encompass all of England and Wales, so ideally you will need to be located in central England as this will be the most effective location to work from. The ideal candidate does not necessarily have to come from a textiles background as my client is open to seeing candidates with relevant experience from outside of the industry.
