This multiple award winning craft spirits distributor is on a mission to change how the drinks industry operates by reducing dependence on mainstream brands, something they have been in very successful in achieving up to this point. Working with a They have seen incredible growth year on year since their foundation and they are recruiting for a brand new sales position to manage demand.
The Role
You will be responsible for devising and implementing the on-trade sales strategy, whilst leading an awesome team of On-Trade Partner Managers, who work remotely across the UK, to deliver exceptional value for our business partners. Managing, mentoring and providing direction for the sales team is the key aspect of this role – it requires strong leadership skills combined with a passion for management. By analysing trade and business performance you’ll know what objectives to set and how to coach your team to deliver against those objectives. This role includes:
- Implementing the sales strategy in line with strategic objectives and innovative and effective was to deliver the growth plan, you will need to lead by example both internally and externally
- Reporting regularly on commercial performance, meaning you will have to be ingrained in every aspect of the partners that you manage, staying one step ahead of risks and capitalising on credible opportunities within the marketplace
- Taking complete ownership for the delivery of on-trade performance ensuring that the National Sales Manager is aligned to key decisions that affect business direction
- Staying on top of all market trends and developments, ensuring that the customer marketing plan remains insightful
- Building effective trade relationships with key decision makers ensuring you successfully manage & develop distribution, visibility and brand awareness in both existing and new business partners
- Responsibility for growing and developing the brand portfolio in the focussed geographical areas
The Candidate

- High capability of managing the full commercial picture
- Excellent knowledge of marketing investment effectiveness and the importance of ROI
- Experience of leading and coaching a team
- Passion for spirits meaning you are confident in talking about category, trends and brands
- Exquisite attention to detail
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to think innovatively and outside the box to fit in with company culture
- A need for achievement
- IT competency
- UK Driving License
The desirables for this role are:
- Wines & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Qualification – Higher Level
- Experience working in the on-trade
- UK market knowledge
- Experience working in the spirits industry
