National Account Manager - Foodservice

This is an outstanding opportunity for a National Account Manager to make their mark with a leading international food group who specialise in sourcing and supplying premium quality branded and own brand products for the retail industry. You will utilise your FMCG sales and account management experience to strategically manage a number of key foodservice accounts to ensure the business achieves their turnover and profit targets
Your new role
In this role you will play a key part in developing account plans as well as the identification of new opportunities in line with the companies key strategic goals. Working very closely with internal stakeholders in Purchasing, Marketing and Supply Chain, you will be responsible for developing existing listings, generating new business, managing product launches and steering promotional activities. You will also be the key interface with external foodservice clients, managing the branded and own brand contracts via the implementation of procedures including; sales forecasting, price file maintenance and contract management.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in a National Account Management role where you will have had first line account experience preferably in the Grocery/Food industry. Commercial experience of foodservice customers would be a distinct advantage. Just as importantly, you will be self motivated and achievement orientated with first rate negotiation and interpersonal skills. You will also need to demonstrate excellent organisational and planning skills and be a highly analytical problem solver with the ability to work cross functionally in an environment with shifting priorities.
