The Sales Manager will be responsible for working with the Senior Management team to set the sales strategy, lead a team of 2, and deliver sales results of your own.

Description

The Sales Manager will be responsible for working with the Senior Management team to set the sales strategy, lead a team of 2, and deliver sales results of your own.

The Sales Manager will seek to maximise relationships with the Grocers, undergoing thorough account planning and proactive management of revenue and margin gaps versus plan and forecast. The Sales Manager will develop all aspects of the customer relationship from identifying new opportunities for growth through to category management of on-going product listings. The Sales Manager hold full P&L responsibility for these relationships, and will be expected to forecast and budget effectively.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 2. The successful candidate will will look to build structure and process into the Sales team, implementing and a driving a sales team culture that is effective, motivating and rewarding.

This role is office-based near Exeter with some travel as required.



Profile

The successful candidate will:
  • Have a proven track record in selling to the Grocers
  • Have a demonstrable track record in driving effective account growth
  • Have experience leading sales teams
  • Have recent FMCG sales experience, ideally within food and drink
  • Have a track record in delivering reports and accurate forecasts
  • Have a good commercial and analytical skills
  • Be willing to be office-based 5 days a week, and travel as necessary
