National Account Manager, homewares & interiors


North London

Leading homewares, interiors and textiles company renowned for its design, quality and innovation, supplying major retailers (including John Lewis,, Sofology, Next, Debenhams) in the UK and across the globe, are looking for a new National Account Manager to join their team.

You will be responsible for managing the relationships with key national retailers, web retailers and interior design specialists, ensuring that they are selecting the most relevant ranges and remain happy / serviced throughout the year.

You will also work alongside the Sales Director on business development for the company’s branded product range. This is a huge growth area for the business so lots of potential here.

As National Account Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a selection of existing retail customers.
  • Working with Buyers on own-brand projects.
  • Approaching new potential customers.
  • Working with the Sales Director on the expansion of the company’s own brand range.
  • Managing the pricing, sampling and negotiation stage.
  • Monitoring orders / stock levels / supply / delivery capability.
  • Liaison with overseas offices / warehouse / buying and accounts team.
  • Attending tradeshows.
  • Helping to manage the social media channels if this is an interest of yours.

As National Account Manager, you will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in account management.
  • 2+ years’ experience of working with national accounts.
  • Experience in the home, gift, interiors, fashion industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Good organisational / administrative ability.
  • Thorough understanding of margins and retail trading terms.
  • A positive outlook.
