Area Sales Manager (Catering Equipment) – South East, East London, Essex, Kent

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a top client who are one of the UK's leading distributors of heavy and light catering equipment as well as cleaning and chemical products.. They supply the largest range of light and heavy equipment available to UK caterers. Stocking more than 18,000 products they sell: Tableware & Crockery, Cutlery, Glassware & Barware, Kitchen Equipment, Cleaning & Safety and Catering Appliances to name a few.

Duties

•             Produce business plan for customer portfolio to achieve annual sales and margin targets in conjunction with Sales Director

•             Achieve Business plan

•             Work with Credit Control to ensure customers comply with terms and conditions of trading.

•             Manage a portfolio of customers, and provide field support for team members with larger accounts.

•             Constantly seek new opportunities to expand the portfolio and increase margin through; prospecting new customers and regaining lost business range extensions, working with suppliers and own brand offering

 

•             Manage a portfolio of customers, and provide field support for team members with larger accounts.

•             Monitor sales performance and activity levels and produce monthly report detailing key result areas

•             Maintain appropriate records on clients and sales activities.

•             Produce reports as required to the management team for review, and complete any customer reporting that may be required within required timescales.

Qualifications

•             Account management experience

•             Catering equipment experience or non-food sales

•             Demonstroable sales / account development achievements

•             B2B / B2C experience

•             Presentation skills

•             Full Driving Licence,

•             Influencing and negotiation skills, initiative and self motivation,

•             Interpersonal skills, judgement and decision making
