The private label sector is tough, there's no denying it. When you operate in this market space, you need to be extremely commercially savvy, and you need to possess a real desire to grow various categories, some of which, in the wider scheme of things, are in decline. That's why, in this Key Account Manager vacancy, we're looking for someone who has the experience, hunger and ability to make a big difference to this growing international business.
Dealing with almost all of the major multiples, as well as the top discounters and various high street retailers, this business has a very strong reputation in the private label market. Operating in a number of ambient categories, it has excellent NPD facilities, strong financial backing and some great technology at its disposal - so you'll have all the support you need. Managing a multi-million pound, diverse account base, it's up to you to bring the commercial aptitude to build on the previous incumbent's success.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate prior success in the private label food market, dealing with a portfolio of major UK customers. We want to see the ability to fight for business - someone who can go the extra mile to carve out new opportunities and think almost with a start up mentality. There are tremendous opportunities to develop this position in the medium term, and most people who join this company are there for many years, which is testament to strength of the business as an employer of choice.
