Office location: Berkshire (expectation 3 days/week)

Salary & reward: £35-50k; £7k allowance; 10% bonus plus package

We are currently recruiting a hands-on customer facing Category Manager role for a leading South East based Career Employer! They are a major branded & private label food business with a number of instantly recognisable brands and are recognised for their strong employer brand. In the role you would be accountable for driving Category Engagement with a number of Convenience & Discounter customers to deliver long term sustainable Sales growth through Range, Space, Merchandising and Promotional recommendations. It is an environment that empowers; you will take full ownership for growing the Category with the customers, establishing yourself as a trusted, independent voice, but to also be mindful of the commercial landscape.

With a minimum of 12-24 months Category Insights experience within a retail or commercial environment as a Category Executive or Junior Category Manager, you’ll now ready for full Category Development Manager responsibility. We are also open and would be interested if you have been working within an associated area which would naturally transfer; National Accounts; Retail Buying or operating in one of the Continuous Data agencies looking for the client side move. What is key is you will have strong analytical capable of pulling out insights and be able to develop compelling category recommendations for the customer.

This is an office based role (c3 days a week) and would suit candidates in the following areas: Berkshire, Slough, Windsor, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Reading, Wokingham, Marlow, High Wycombe, Beaconsfield and West London locations within easy reach of M4. The role is customer facing and you would typically average three retailer meetings per month.
