Senior Market Strategy & Planning Manager

South East / London

Up to £70,000 basic & excellent benefits package

As one of the U.K's largest suppliers of personal care products, this blue chip business have an excellent reputation within FMCG and are responsible for a number of power brands that are found in our homes today. Their product portfolio can be found globally and they are brand leaders across a number of categories. They place a huge amount of emphasis on their company values and the implementation of these values has excelled their growth of recent. They are now looking to add to their Strategy & Planning team.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Director they key strands of the role will include: -

• Be the liaison between Account Management & Consumer/Shopper Marketing at the Category & Retail Environment level, facilitating the achievement of our commercial goals.

• Develop, implement and monitor a medium-term category growth strategy for the categories that deliver brand and commercial objectives and aligns with Brand/RE/customer challenges and opportunities.

• Translate brand plans, shopper insight & retail environment knowledge into trading plans by Retail Environment which drive all key financial measures.

• Lead development, communication and implementation of Retail Environment strategies for the categories and perform a supporting role in an aligned category.


You are currently or have previously worked within a similar type of role, beit Market Strategy & Planning, Category Startegy, Revenue Growth Management etc. You will have a strong commercial foundation and have the knowledge to advise why and why not to make particular investments. You must be able to leverage date (IRI, Nielsen etc) whilst being a strategic thinker. You MUST be ambitous, the expectation is that this role will feed through to other roles within the senior management team.
