Your New Role

This role is a Senior National Account Manager position based in the South-East of England and it is joining a team that has the supreme focus of maintaining and gaining market share. Alongside this, you will be tasked with maximising all profitability whilst building your portfolio – which therefore maximises all forms of growth. Additionally dealing with all areas of the business from the Supply Chain, Brand Teams, Shopper Marketers, Buyers and the Category Teams and this would be a consistent part of the role.

Leading all customer relationships, this role will be working on a Top 4 Grocery account where you will be required to launch new products, query trade terms and manage all cost price changes within the role. You will also drive the JBP for as well as execute the business plan for the next year as it is a crucial part of succeeding in this position. Coinciding with this, you will have P&L management responsibility with the delivery of turnover solely resting on you.

 

What you need to possess

You will need to have a strong commercial background in order to succeed in this role as it is a major part of the commercial team. Managing a multi-million pound turnover for a Top 4 Grocer, you will ideally have experience looking after such figures already. Customer management is very key in this role as customer relations will need to be kept intact in order to enhance the business. Full P&L exposure is essential in this role as it is a large part of the role as well. Additionally, it will be preferable if the ideal candidate has experience when it comes to dealing with direct reports as it would make your transition a lot easier.

Lastly, experience of forecasting and business planning will also prove to be a massive help in this role as these are ongoing tasks within this position.
