Senior Account Manager, iconic design-led brand!

Maidstone

£40,000 + company bonus

Creative, stylish product company seeks an experienced Senior Account Manager to join their growing team. They develop trend driven, beautiful products for the home, that can be found on the shelves of hundreds of leading retailers worldwide.

They are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join their team. This is a brand-new position created due to company growth.

You will have experience working for a medium-level / premium brand, will be comfortable working with the high-end retailers and have excellent experience of doing so. Experience of working on own-brand development projects would be high advantageous.

This company exhibits at trade events internationally, so you must be available to travel frequently.

A typical day in this varied Senior Account Manager role will involve:

  • Managing the relationship with your portfolio of customers
  • Work closely with your customers to put together a selection/range, suggesting products/collections suitable for them
  • Taking briefs on own-brand development projects
  • Working with the factories during the sampling process, ensuring that these are sent on time for customer selection meetings
  • Ensuring that all feedback is gained on reviews/selection. If selected then making sure that you can provide accurate forecasts, delivery dates etc
  • Negotiating prices and trading terms which are favourable for both parties
  • Ensuring that all internal team are briefed on the customers’ order/delivery requirements.
  • Taking a lead with international exhibitions; for some shows managing everything from set-up to follow ups
  • Attending meetings with new potential customers
  • Ensuring that all forecasting is accurate for the merchandisers
  • Keeping in contact with your customers throughout the year; not just during selection season
  • Getting stuck in and contributing to the greater good for the company!

You will have for this Account Manager:

  • 5 years account management experience.
  • Experience of working directly with key/national/high-end retailers.
  • Experience within the gift, home, stationery industry is ideal.
  • A positive, 'can do’ attitude.
  • Impeccable organisation and communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in the retail industry.
  • Sociable with a good sense of humour and who will always go the extra mile!
