Are you an experienced Operations Manager, with rounded experience within distribution, customer service and sales administration? Based in Nottingham, the business represent a diverse portfolio of clients across Consumer products. As Operations Manager you will be responsible for translating company strategy into top down operational plans, providing support to the business through “hands on” operational involvement, leading the operations and Logistics function of the business. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead projects to create new operations in China to support the division
  • Align and integrate existing operations in Europe with new operations in China
  • Participate in development of new methodologies to improve processes
  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance and creation of procedures and systems to optimise efficiencies across the business
  • Liaise with 3PL to determine new way to simplify processes, increase productivity and save costs
  • Drive standardisation of processes and best practices
  • Focus on streamlining the flow from sourcing to customers, always looking for balance in the trade-off between service level and efficiency

Successful candidates:

  • Operational experience within logistics and supply chain
  • Operational experience of leading a Customer Service/Sales Admin team
  • Experience managing a logistics/operational department
  • Excellent knowledge of EU and International Logistics, including customer procedures and requirements
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, including report writing and group presentations
  • A collaborative team player with visible leadership skills – able to motivate others to succeed
  • Solution orientated and decisive
