Nigel Wright is delighted to be partnering with one of the UK’s leading privately owned food businesses based in West London. The turnover of the group is now approximately £600m and has grown its turnover by over £100m in the last three years. My client is looking to add a passionate Senior National Account Manager to join their International and emerging markets team to focus on Germany.





Key Responsibilities



• Have lead responsibility for key national customers; within Germany and or the UK this will may a Top 5 multiple retailer, or e-commerce, impulse or convenience depending on experience and fit.
• Be the main point of contact for these accounts, developing and maintaining effective relationships with the customer at all levels, specifically with the relevant Category Buyer and cross-functionally.
• The role of the National Account Manager includes, but is not limited to forecasting, price negotiation, full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility of key accounts, budgeting, category management, shopper marketing and logistics.
• This role will also typically involve elements of business development, whether opening new trading relations or gaining new listings, SKU`s, NPD within existing accounts, with the aim of maintaining or increasing profit margin, turnover, volume, distribution and market share





Person Specification



• Be of graduate calibre with branded FMCG experience;
• Must be a proficient German speaker
• Have proven sales experience - likely to currently be in a NAM role
• Possess a good understanding of the UK Grocery Trade.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills;
• Have high attention to detail;
• An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing;
• A good listener, able to respond to results and consumer research;
• Be able to build outstanding customer relationships and have impeccable `people skills`;
