The Business 

We are currently recruiting an ambitious category executive for an own label ambient goods manufacturer in the East Midlands area. The business is a UK company but owned by a wider international group. They pride themselves on producing innovative products to meet the needs of a wide range of customers.

The Role

You will be expected to provide analytical support to the category manager, which will be integral in driving the strategic direction for the business & and the Customer. You should be able to identify & clearly articulate historical, current and forecast trends in order to make informed decisions on the future direction of the category in short, medium & long term. You will also provide support to internal Category & Commercial team to highlight issues affecting sales and other key metrics.

The Individual

You should have previous experience in category management functions and an understanding of marketing research and data tools (e.g. ACNielsen/Kantar/IRI). You will have a logical and analytical approach to problem solving. You should be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with desire to ‘go the extra mile’ when required. You should strive to use your initiative and exceed expectations with the ability to organise and prioritise your workload. A high level of PC literacy is expected, especially in the use of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
