Do you have experience in managing sales in of DIY products (specifically power tools) into the European marketplace? Do you have experience in identifying, appointing and subsequently managing distributors of power tools and/or related products in export markets?

Our client has recently created the new position of Export Sales Manager to focus on the proactive and strategic expansion of sales of their power tools range into Europe. The Export Sales Manager will take full responsibility for the management of export sales, both optimising existing accounts and looking for growth opportunities in new markets with new distributors and retailers.
The Export Sales Manager will devise, develop and implement an effective export sales strategy for the continent, selling both directly to retailers and via 3rd party distributors.
You will be responsible for optimising sales in existing markets via the effective management of existing distributors and will be able to identify growth opportunities in new export markets where a distributor has yet to be appointed.
This is a NOT a home-based position. Candidates will need to live within the South East to be considered suitable candidates for this role. The exact location will be revealed upon application of course.
Our client is a successful, profitable and renowned manufacturer operating within the power tools sector.
The business will create an enticing financial package designed to attract the desired candidate. It is likely that the package will include a basic salary of £40,000-50,000 plus generous bonus, car and benefits.
Previous experience in European sales is essential for this international sales manager position. A background in the power tools sales in Europe is important as is a background in distributor management.
You will be able to draw upon experience of identifying, appointing and subsequently managing distributors, agreeing joint business plans and delivering growth in multiple markets.
Fluency in a 2nd European language is desirable for this position but not essential.
