A tier one FMCG food business is looking for a shopper marketing manager to cover a period of maternity leave. This role is an integral part of the shopper, category and marketing team and its main onus is to develop and implement the shopper marketing journey.
You will act as the thought leader for the organisation helping to develop the vision and the strategy. This strategic input will then be converted into an actionable plan to help deliver the marketing and commercial strategies.
You will work alongside the insight team to understand and utilise the data to create a shopper vision that will exceed targets that have been set. This is a multi-channel shopper role that will encompass both digital and offline spaces.
The role will be more marketing led and less activation so activity out of store will be more important. That is not to say that in store marketing activity is ignored, you will integrate that activity with the rest of the shopper plan.
You will also be analysing campaign data and provide reports for various teams showing the effectiveness of shopper campaigns. This analysis will be used to refine future campaigns to help improve ROI.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you have the following skills:
- Excellent shopper marketing experience from with a tier 1 FMCG organisation
- A solid understanding of the full marketing mix and multi channel marketing provision
- Both a strategic and an operational thinker
- Strong analytical skills
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Previous experience of budget planning and a strong financial acumen
- Demonstrable experience of innovative marketing campaigns with solid results.
