As one of the market leading businesses within their sector, Pedigree Wholesale supplies a broad range of products to the independent retail channel, national retailers and ecommerce retailers. The business is family-owned, and operates from a number of sites across the UK. Having grown both organically and by acquisition over the last 5 years, the company now sees the online channel as a major opportunity for further growth and is now looking to recruit a Key Account Manager, responsible for working with the Commercial Director on the Amazon account and other pet specific online retailers.



Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Establishing, developing and maintaining excellent business relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Developing and executing Joint Business Plans for key strategic online customers
  • Working directly with the Commercial Director to oversee the development of the Amazon account
  • Highlighting prospective customers and effective proposals to secure new customers
  • Champion the value, understanding and needs of the ecommerce channel internally with all key stakeholders



Whilst some knowledge and understanding of the pet industry would be an advantage, experience working within consumer goods and managing ecommerce customers is vital. A strong working knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central is also essential to be successful in this role. In addition, the Key Account Manager must also have:

  • A proven track record working on the Amazon account with an understanding of vendor central
  • Experience in a commercial sales position with strong negation skills and commercial acumen
  • Great interpersonal skills and have the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and colleagues
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • A high level of self-motivation, a positive attitude and a strong team work ethic
