A well-known food company is looking for an assistant product manager for a period of between 9 and 12 months to cover maternity leave. You will be working with the Head of Product to help drive the commercial success of existing and new SKUs. The role is being offered on a part time basis working approximately 30 hours per week.

The role

A well-known food company is looking for an assistant product manager for a period of between 9 and 12 months to cover maternity leave. You will be working with the Head of Product to help drive the commercial success of existing and new SKUs. The role is being offered on a part time basis working approximately 30 hours per week.

This role is relatively unique in that you will be looking at the current performance of existing products and making recommendations on how to improve performance. You will be tracking the range and SKU performance against KPIs and using this data to help drive greater sales and profitability.

You will also be working very closely with the NPD team and leading the projects on new products and packs. These projects will develop the commercial acumen of the brand and provide actionable work based on insights.

You will be dealing with a range of stakeholders and providing key data into the sales, marketing and NPD teams helping them make important decisions on the future direction of the brand.

Since the brand first launched it has gone from strength to strength and now they are launching into their next phase. They are investing massively into their team and brand to allow them to their online presence into the 21st Century and beyond.

The person

To be successful for this role it is essential that you have following experience:
  • Strong project management experience from within a branded food or drink business
  • Excellent stakeholder skills
  • Good analytical skills gained from a sales or marketing role
  • Some brand or product management experience
  • Good understanding of retail shoppers and the food supply chain
  • Some NPD experience would be beneficial.
