Key Account Executive – Premium Branded Consumer Goods

The business we are representing are an international, premium branded consumer goods business. They manufacture non-food products for the home that are renowned for high quality and traditional design. Our client has won a number of very prestigious awards for quality, innovation and industry reputation. The company prides itself on delivering great customer service and creating a compassionate, autonomous working environment for its employees. Products are exported to over 40 countries and sold into major high street retailers across the UK including grocery, department stores and independents. Due to growth, we are looking to recruit a Key Account Executive to join the current team.

As Key Account Executive you will work collaboratively and support the current UK Sales Manager. The role will be focussed on building relationships with a number of key, premium customers likely to include John Lewis and Lakeland for example. You will need to maximise the potential of these accounts, drive sales and further develop brand awareness. The role covers a number of other key responsibilities including:

-Supporting with Admin for all UK accounts such as samples, spreadsheets and new product line forms

-Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the customer base including marketing, online and looking at current brand positioning

-Maintain training implementation for in store staff for each account

-Monthly reporting on sales and the performance of each customer

-Liaising with internal teams such as product managers, marketing and other functions on timescales, sample requirements and launch of new products

This role would be ideally suited to candidates in a National Account Support or Key Account Executive position. You must have at least 12-18 months account management experience in some capacity. Ideally, you will have worked with a branded consumer goods product. We are very open on product experience, non-food consumer goods experience would be preferable but candidates from other categories in FMCG will be considered. This person needs to have excellent administration skills including Microsoft Office. The role requires good attention to detail and the ability to build strong relationships both internally and with customers. Culturally we are looking for a bright, personable and well-natured person who will fit in well with the team.
