Senior Technical Manager – Health & Personal Care

South East – Office based

As a market leading company in the health and beauty sector, this business owns a number of brands across the vitamin, supplement and cosmeceutical sectors. Still privately owned, this small team have enjoyed growth for a number of years and achieved substantial distribution across the UK in the Grocery, Discounters and High Street channels. Their brands are also sold in over 40 countries with aspirations of continuous growth. They are now looking to recruit a Senior Technical Manager to join this successful and driven team.

As Senior Technical Manager you will be at the forefront of the management and implementation of their BRC accreditation. Whilst reporting to the Head of Sales and managing a team of 2, you will work cross functionally, both internally and externally, to ensure their large product range meets industry standards. As well as working across the UK, this professional would also communicate with and monitor EMEA distributors.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical support to Brand managers to ensure timely completion of all NPD/EPD related activities
  • Supplier auditing under BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 7 (25+ Suppliers, 100+ SKUs)
  • Supply of product registrations, and providing technical support to distributors for international market growth

To be considered for the position you must be a Science graduate with 5+ years experience in a food, food supplement and/or herbal medicine manufacturing facility. Experience within a cosmetics or medical devices environment would also be advantageous. It is also highly important that the successful candidate has a background working within a BRC accredited company with a strong knowledge of the detail involved with this process. The ability to work collaboratively and bring their high achieving team together will also be acknowledged.
