National Account Manager – Non-food consumer goods – selling into DIY/High Street – North West

Our client is a leading supplier of design-led products for the home including home interiors, accessories. Offering a mix of brand and private-label, the business has the ability to create bespoke products for each specific retailer. The business are enjoying a period of growth and there current customer base has vast opportunity to further enhance relationships and open new channels. The business are a leading supplier to a number of UK retailers across grocery, DIY, online and high street accounts. Culturally it’s a close-knit team, hard working environment where people are developed and nurtured. We are searching for a National Account Manager to join the team selling into some high profile customers.

In the role you will work closely with the Head of National Accounts on a number of important relationships. It’s likely these will be from the following portfolio – Wilkinsons, Homebase, B&Q and The Range. These are significant customers for the business and it presents a great opportunity to be an integral part of the team. You will need to liaise closely with in-house design teams, category and other functions to present the right product solution for each customer. We need someone comfortable with a mix of account management and developing new business.

In order to be considered for this role ideally we would like someone at National Account level, who has experience of selling into the DIY or high street retail channel including the customers listed above. It’s likely you will come from a non-food product consumer goods product category. A passion or interest in home interiors would strengthen your application but not essential. It would also help if you have worked in a design-led product environment which would mean you have transferable skills. This person must have a great attitude, be dynamic and commercially aware.
