The Business

The business is part of national multisite organisation that supply own label bakery products across several categories to both retail and foodservice customers. The site is dedicated to manufacturing the highest quality sweet bakery goods and now require a skilled and experienced Production Planner to help support the production team to ensure continued success and results consistently.

The Role

This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager on site, and will play a crucial role in taking the business through the Christmas peak season.  

Key responsibilities include:

> Managing the production plans for the 24/7 manufacturing facility

> planning and co-ordination of site activity through accurate and cost effective planning of finished product and components.

> Provide the site management team with a robust plan that ensures 100% customer service whilst maintaining efficient manufacturing practices.

> To liaise, co-ordinate and communicate effectively with the internal teams and with customer supply chain.


The Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience working in the food industry as a Production Planner, ideally working with chilled or ambient products. You will have a proven track record of managing production planning systems in a fast paced environment, and most importantly be adept at working under pressure.
