Product Innovation Manager – West London

Our client is an industry leading, fast-growing ethical healthy food brand. Founded in 2011 they have a carved a niche within their sector and are at triple digit growth YoY.

They supply top retailers, both specialist organic / healthy and mainstream, with their products enjoying the widest press coverage and a surge in the UK public awareness of this niche product. Responsibilities for Product Innovation Manager

• Lead on delivering a market-leading, highly innovative NPD pipeline of products, reporting into the Head of Commercial and contributing to the long term NPD strategy
• Identify and shape product innovation opportunities, including market research, strategic and commercial analysis, in co-operation with the Category and Sales teams
• Develop and manage Critical Paths to ensure all NPD is executed to the highest standard, including management of 3^rd party manufacturers and logistics partners
• Formulate product briefs and co-ordinate panels to ensure max success
• Identify and research new ingredient and packaging suppliers, and new 3^rd party manufacturers
• Co-ordinate artwork specs and manufacturing/technical specs, ensuring compliance with relevant legal and technical standards
• Support the Sales team on product specifications and technical administration, and technical information requirements for New Line Forms, and any other retailer requirements
• Ensure successful launch of the new products in the market, with the Sales and Marketing teams

About You

• 4+ years of product innovation/NPD experience in fresh/frozen/dairy
• Strong commercial skills and good technical knowledge, with understanding of manufacturing standards, product safety and EU/UK legal compliance
• A great eye for detail, can comfortably develop and manage critical paths and timelines, and ensure that product specs and packaging are 100% accurate
• Driven and a high-achiever, yet a great team player
• Adept at managing multiple projects and priorities at the same time, and comfortable at identifying where you need support
• Good at building relationships, internally and externally, ensuring that everyone delivers what the project needs to succeed
• Thrives on working in a fast-paced environment with an outstanding team, building an exceptional business
