The UK ops manager will lead and take full responsibility for the manufacturing side of the business. The role reports to a highly experienced manager who has a very open, honest and fair style who believes in setting clear objectives for his team and then leaving them to drive results.
There is still lots to challenge the incoming person, they need to update old systems in the coming years and they plan to invest in more automation within the factory. The business is very profitable already but the company will invest money to bring this site up to a high standard. This role will be a key decision maker in these changes. The business is already on a good improvement journey and the incoming ops manager must be able to take employees on the journey with them and effectively manage change.
As this is a senior role and we expect to have a good range of candidates I want to state the must haves:
• UK Food manufacturing background in a senior ops role.
• Have been in charge of, or heavily involved in supply chain.
• An open and honest management style that fits the business culture.
The role is East Midlands based and applicants around Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, Leicester and Birmingham will find it workable.
Salary circa £70k + car/allowance + 15% bonus + 9% pension
