National Account Manager – Consumer Goods – Major High Street Retailers

I am currently representing a market leading non-food consumer goods supplier. Our client operates across a number of product categories including housewares, electrical, gifting and garden products. As a family run business they offer a close-knit culture built on trust and allowing employees to have the autonomy to be successful. The business supplies a number of key retail channels including online, department stores and DIY retailers. They hold the rights to a number of high profile licenses for well-known consumer goods brands. Due to recently securing the rights for a new license with vast potential, an opportunity has arisen for an National Account Manager to join the team.

As National Account Manager you will be tasked with growing and developing business across a number of key retail channels. These customers are likely to include Argos, B&Q, Dunelm, Costco and garden centre groups for example. It will present you with the opportunity to work across a multitude of product categories and work with some very high profile licenses in order to grow the customer base. Working closely with the Managing Director and Commercial Director this is a key opportunity and part of the future growth plans of the business.

We are searching for a Key or National Account Manager with experience of working in non-food categories such as housewares, gift, cleaning or electrical appliances for example. Ideally you will have sold into high street retailers such as Argos, B&Q, Dunelm or similar customers. The role will entail some new business so you must be tenacious, a self-starter and energetic. The business has strong values based on commitment, teamwork and trust. You must fit in with their values and ethics. The role is home-based with expectation to be north-west office 1-2 days a week.
