NATIONAL ACCOUNT DIRECTOR – CONTRACTS

Home based with good motorway links

We are seeking an experienced Account/Business Development Manager to manage and develop business in the UK House Building sector. My client, a leading and trusted brand in the Home Appliance market, is one of the fastest growing companies in this sector. With ambitious plans for the future the company is further developing its brand awareness and wishes to significantly grow its Contracts business.

We are interested to hear from candidates with experience of selling to Contractors, New Build, Housing Associations, Developers, Local Authorities and Contracts Distributors – ideally in the Home Appliances Category or closely related. The role requires specific understanding of the key players to enable customer acquisitions to be achieved and maintained.

Person Requirements:

  • Industry and/or Channel knowledge with an understanding of the contracts market, products and manufacturing
  • Proven track record in contract sales management with established business relationships with a broad range of house builders, contractors, local authorities and contracts distributors.
  • Successfully increased volume/product listings by negotiation
  • Positive attitude and determined to succeed
  • Excellent people and relationship building skills are essential
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Track record of managing and developing a large product range with various customer requirements
  • Good awareness of financial reporting
  • High competence in Microsoft Office and spread sheets

Key Job Requirements:

  • Plan and implement the agreed contracts market strategy to achieve budgetary objectives.
  • Develop customer strategy and relationships.
  • Plan business with the management of supporting stock and logistics.
  • Manage the tender and bidding process with customers.
  • Deliver against an aggressive growth budget.
  • Account forecasting.
  • Ability to develop and identify new opportunities.

A negotiable basic salary, excellent bonus scheme, company car or car allowance, pension and PHI.
