Who are we looking for?
Junior Buyer , ideally educated to a degree level but not essential - with a passion for driving brand awareness for some of the world's leading organisations. - AN IDEAL CANDIDIATE WOULD HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE IN THE [PROCUREMENT OF PACKAGING
About the Company - UK Leading packaging manufacturer.
About you -
- A can-do attitude and willingness to tackle a diverse array of tasks.
- At least 2 years previous buying experience.
Your experience -
- Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly materials are purchased and orders are progressed on the system.
- Ensuring on-time delivery of materials.
- Monitoring supplier performance and maintaining relationships.
- Negotiating with suppliers on pricing and proactively attempting to reduce costs.
- Liaising with suppliers in the UK and Overseas, including Importing.
- Forecasting, scheduling and buffering supplier contracts.
- Organising and participating in supplier meetings.
- Working alongside the Production, Finance and Dispatch departments to ensure production schedules and ERP are met.
- Reporting on key trends and cost savings
