National Account Manager, Grocery Retail
A passionate and thriving food business looking for an experienced NAM to develop the retail channel.
This National Account Management opportunity sits in a close knit and successful UK Team who are part of a large European business with fantastic innovative food solutions. The team already sell products through retail channels including Tesco and Sainsbury's, however this is currently managed by the Director and they need a dedicated, professional and ambitious senior sales account manager to drive the retail strategy and category development.
The business is profitable and successful across Foodservice and B2B as well as retail where they expect to triple turnover in the next five years.
The national account strategy will develop sales for innovative and added values products within the categories of frozen, chilled and ambient. The role will recognise market trends and work closely with NPD to deliver exciting ideas and high quality products.
Essential experience is -
- Commercial category approach and genuine personal passion for food
- Extensive proven track record as senior NAM working with grocery retailers including the top four
- Food manufacturing is essential with a fast paced and highly innovative product area.
- Demonstrable experience of working closely with NPD and Development Teams.
It would be desirable and advantageous to have degree education poor equivalent and a 2nd European language.
This role will be a pivotal to the retail sector growth and therefore has a strict criteria. Food and retail experience are essential and unfortunately applications without this background will not be considered.
