Fresh Produce Trader | Lincolnshire/Yorkshire

We are currently looking for a Fresh Produce Trader to work with a very progressive market trading business. There is flexibility on where the role is based, either in the Leeds area or Spalding. They are looking for a Wholesale Trader ideally with good fruit experience, who can help this business continue their growth.

The Role:

You will be working closely with the Senior team to ensure the business is maximising their opportunities with Wholesale markets around the country.
Ideally you will be building on your existing relationships and the business will support you in finding new customers and suppliers.
Where possible, you will be buying fruit (potentially veg and salad) direct from the growers, so that the supply chain is as short as possible and maximise margins.

The Candidate:

You will have a background in buying fresh produce, top fruit would be a big bonus, but experience of dealing with the wholesale markets and possibly non-retail channels will be essential.
You will be a team player as the business works well with a very close knit team of people who are all pulling in the same direction.
Effective computer skills are an absolute must and the ability to communicate effectively is clearly vital.
