Category Development Executive – Fantastic role for Junior Category professional looking to be based in Central London – up to £35k!

We have a fantastic Central London based Category Executive role for a leading private label foods business. This is a great opportunity to join this high growth business where you would use the best Category Data / Tools to drive leading insight on how to build and drive sustainable Category growth for both the business and their retail partners. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has 12-24 months experience who is looking to make an impact and progress their career within the Food & Drink industry.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide timely and actionable insights to both the internal teams (Sales, Marketing & Innovation) and the Customer/Channel, so as to grow the business and be seen as a credible Thought Leader and Trusted Advisor in Range and Merchandising. You will be responsible for keeping the business aware of range and distribution gaps; develop insight-based selling stories for any innovation which is aligned to the Category Plan; and support the Commercial team by owning the Category evaluation and ROI of instore tactics. The business is medium sized with relatively lean Commercial team so your voice will be heard and this is an opportunity to have a significance impact & influence over business & Retailer decisions.
To be considered for this position you must have:
- A minimum of 12-24 months Insights experience within a retail or commercial environment years (supplier or data agency)
- Strong analytical skills with an aptitude to distill multiples data sources into digestible insights.
- Effective communicator
- Demonstrable ability to flex style so as to effectively influence key stakeholders
- Effective time management skills, to include the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and push back when needed.
